CargoWise integration setup

TaluxIQ integrates with CargoWise One through the eAdapter interface, allowing RegoIQ to register import jobs directly into your TMS. This guide covers the setup process.

Prerequisites

• An active CargoWise One environment with eAdapter enabled
• Admin access to CargoWise to configure eAdapter settings
• Your eAdapter endpoint URL and authentication credentials

Setup steps

1. In CargoWise, navigate to System → eAdapter → Service Configuration and ensure the inbound HTTP service is enabled.
2. Create a new integration user in CargoWise with permissions to create forwarding jobs. Note the username and password.
3. In TaluxIQ, go to Settings → TMS Integration and select CargoWise One.
4. Enter your eAdapter endpoint URL (typically https://your-cw-server/eAdaptor), the integration username, and password.
5. Click Test Connection to verify TaluxIQ can communicate with your CargoWise instance.

Note: Talux only supports a single Cargowise branch for now.

Charge code mapping

After connecting, you'll need to map your charge codes. TaluxIQ reads charge descriptions from shipping documents and needs to know which CargoWise charge code to use for each.

Navigate to Settings → Charge Codes to configure your mappings. You can set up global defaults and per-client overrides.

Testing

We recommend running 5-10 test jobs before going live. Use the Review Dashboard to verify that:

• Job details are correctly extracted from documents
• Charge codes map to the right CargoWise codes
• Party details (shipper, consignee) match your CargoWise address book
• The job is created in the correct branch and department
