Freight forwarding is a high-stakes juggling act. On any given day, your inbox contains booking requests, quoting threads, customs queries, and registration paperwork — all arriving in no particular order, all demanding attention. Meanwhile, your clients expect real-time air cargo updates, and your operations team needs to trust the data populating job forms in CargoWise. When any of these pieces slip, freight gets delayed, clients get frustrated, and your team works overtime catching up.
The latest TaluxIQ updates address these pressure points directly. The changes below are live now and ready to use.
Live Air Cargo Tracking from 10 Airline Websites
Manually checking airline portals is one of the more tedious parts of air freight operations. When you're managing multiple air waybills across several carriers, that's a lot of browser tabs, a lot of copy-pasting, and a meaningful risk that something gets missed or entered incorrectly.
TaluxIQ now pulls flight status, estimated departure and arrival times, flight legs, and transhipment connections directly from the websites of 10 major carriers: Emirates, Qatar Airways, United Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, Air New Zealand, UPS, Turkish Airlines, and MASkargo. This data is automatically populated on air waybills — no manual lookup required.
The shift away from a third-party tracking feed matters here. Airline websites are the primary source of truth for flight status. By reading directly from them, TaluxIQ delivers more current and accurate data than a feed that may lag or smooth over discrepancies.
In practice: A shipment on Qatar Airways transits through Doha before arriving in Sydney. TaluxIQ captures both legs, the transhipment connection, and the updated ETA — automatically, on the air waybill — the moment that data is available on the carrier's website. Your client gets an accurate update without your team doing any manual tracking work.
See Exactly Where Your Shipment Data Came From
Data discrepancies in job forms are a quiet source of operational risk. A field gets populated with a value that doesn't match the HBL, or an automated rule overrides something your team entered manually — and unless you know where to look, the reason isn't obvious.
TaluxIQ job forms now include field-level provenance labels and tooltips. For each populated field, you can see at a glance whether the value was extracted from an email, the master bill, or a house bill. The rules engine also surfaces which rules fired and why, so nothing happens silently in the background.
Data is resolved in a clear priority order, so the most reliable source always wins. This applies across both CargoWise and Expedient integrations.
In practice: You're reviewing a customs entry and notice the consignee address doesn't match what's on the HBL. Instead of hunting through documents, you hover over the field — TaluxIQ shows the value came from the MBL and flags that the HBL contains a different value. You catch the discrepancy in seconds, not minutes.
This kind of transparency is especially valuable for customs brokers and compliance-focused operations where data accuracy isn't just a convenience — it's a regulatory requirement.
Improvements and Fixes
- Unrecognised port codes no longer break tracking updates. When a carrier returns a port code that TaluxIQ doesn't recognise, the invalid value is now skipped silently so dates and other tracking events still sync correctly.
- Ocean ShipmentOnly jobs in CargoWise now fall back reliably to the master shipment's route legs, preventing gaps in tracking data for these job types.
- The TaluxIQ light theme is fully consistent across dropdowns, the PDF document viewer, job tables, modals, sidebars, and navigation — in both light and dark modes.
- Email miscategorisation is less likely during transient errors. The AI classification step now retries automatically before falling back to a safe default, reducing the chance of emails landing in the wrong workflow column.
What This Means for Your Operation
Taken together, these updates reduce the manual overhead that accumulates across a busy forwarding or customs brokerage operation — less time chasing tracking updates, less time deciphering where a data value came from, and a cleaner process for managing incoming email workload.
If you're already using TaluxIQ, log in and explore the new Tasks view on your dashboard. The air cargo tracking improvements are active on supported carriers with no configuration needed. In freight forwarding and customs brokerage, small data errors rarely stay small. A container mode submitted as CNT instead of FCL, a duplicate packing line on a customs declaration, or a document assigned to the wrong subshipment — each one can trigger a rejection, a delay, or a manual correction that cascades through your workflow. The compounding effect is real, and it shows up as broker queries, CargoWise re-submissions, and compliance risk. This week's TaluxIQ updates are squarely focused

Australian freight forwarders are leading the shift to AI operations
Over the past 12 months, we've seen a notable shift in how Australian freight forwarders approach operational technology. Where conversations about AI used to be met with scepticism — "it won't understand our documents" or "we've tried automation before" — they're now being met with urgency. The question has moved from "does this work?" to "how quickly can we implement it?" What's driving the change Several factors are converging to push Australian forwarders toward AI-driven operations: *
